The course is for Neonatal and Paediatric Consultants, Trainees, Specialty Doctors and ANNP’s interested in learning and improving their POCUS skills. No prior experience in ultrasound is required.

As a Hybrid event there is the opportunity to attend Day 1 via TEAMS or both days face to face

There will be a combination of theory (day 1) and practical skills sessions (day 2) focussing on lungs, lines and heart.

Day 1

Hybrid Lectures (online & face to face)

• Basics and physiology of USS
• Normal and abnormal lung ultrasound findings
• POCUS for vascular catheters
• Looking at the Heart – the basics
• When vascular catheters go wrong
• PDA haemodynamic assessment
• Ultrasound of a collapsing baby and ET tube position adjustment
• Case Presentation

Day 2

Face to face

• Practical Hands-on sessions
• Interactive video session
• MCQ evaluation
